Figuring Things Out/Contest Anyone?

I apologize that I do not have more frequent postings! I have stuff, but have been super discouraged about my photography skills after 3 years! I finally did up some good clear pics yesterday and managed to get a white background without over editing the photos. I was then told by a person whom I consider to be a ‘photographer’ that the white was a bit too bland and actually distracting and that I needed something ‘more’. I was also told not long ago that using drift wood in my ‘beach series’ that that was too distracting. SO..I have come to the conclusion that photography is an art form (don’t think I will get anyone to say otherwise on that!) and that it is truly in the eye of the beholder.  I feel like I have hit a no win situation, so….next Friday, I have this photographer coming to my house and I am going to have her assist me in her technical knowledge and I will go from there.

My son, Brendon, came up last night with his Girlfriend, Joanie and I asked her to take  quick photo with my other new piece, Black Dahlia, to which she obliged.  She is a very pretty girl and she has just broken her arm. She took her sling off and was bummed she had that t-shirt on, but I thought it would look funky just the same LOL  Here are her pics. You will see alot more of her as time passes!!

I think these are ‘tres chic’ even for quickies! Wait until you see what else I have planned!!!

CONTEST anyone?? I have an idea… I will let you know the contest rules on Monday, July 20th, if it seems I have enough participants! I think I can also arrange ALOT of other goodies as prizes too!!!!!!!!!!
