Can You Say A-M-A-Z-I-N-G?!

I just met with Mona who is doing the Internet Radio Show tomorrow for the show she is doing about me. OMG!! The technology in this is amazing!!! We went to work on a few things and made sure everything is working, which we will meet again later, because I need to hook my cam up tonight! OMG!! Cam!! That means everyone is going to see me!!! OMG!! I cannot hide behind text, photos and my computer now! My safety net is history!! LOL I will get more details tonight about how you all would call in. You will need to have a Login name and password, so I suggest to at least do that in advance. Once you get a user name you can go to the link I will provide later and do text chat AND call right from your computer. It also has webcam capabilities and I need to hook mine up in order to chat live and you may too, if not you can definitely text chat and watch and hear everything anyway. This is going to be fun and interesting and I don’t care how many times she tells me not to be nervous, it isn’t going away LOL and it isn’t even tomorrow yet! Today, I am working on my mask! I will be typing that alot this week, I would so kill to be done by Friday!!! Oh and I have been adding all kinds of goodies to the forum this morning, in the way of free online tutorials!!

Kits & THE Mask

Good morning!! I need a break from doing my website! I have it closer than ever to being complete! I am soo happy about that! I added kits yesterday, although I have alot to do in that regard! The images are up though and there are tons more coming down the pike LOL I have about 10 more in my head that need to get worked on. All in due time!

For today, I really need to work on my mask! The deadline is nearing far too fast, even though I have had it since last October. It was one of those things that you have to look at for a while, while you work on other projects and ponder ideas. One eventually comes to mind, but sometimes too close to a deadline, as happened here for me. I am almost done a section on the left side, so be looking for a photo later today!

I just was taking a beading break and had a great idea for my displays, or shall I say a modification of a previous idea, so I also have to get to work on that today as well. The next show is here in Maine, not this weekend, but next, so I am out to impress my home sate LOL By then, Dave and I will have completely redesigned the table and my work! So excited! We are going to do a home ‘test’ so I will have a pic of that late next week!

My beady friends and I got on Public Chat yesterday and had a blast talking, or rather typing!! Thank you Carol, Robynne and Deb (all MySpace friends hehe). They will all be getting microphones soon, so we can bead and talk at the same time, instead of typing LOL Way too cool!!! Talking about regular life stuff and beading. A regular stitch and bitch online (Alaska, California, Indiana and Maine! How cool it that??!!) LOL I am thinking video streaming could be very beneficial in this as well!

Mother’s Day Show

Other news, I have been working on my website, inadvertently. I wasn’t even thinking about the show this weekend when I got sucked into putting my PayPal buttons on there. It makes sense though! I am going to start adding kits later today!!! Oh and polymer face cabochons too!! yay!!

Show Photos

As usual, I had a blast at the show! I came back with more ideas in my head than ever! I got to spend some great time with Bev, which is highly unusual, she is one of the promoters, along with her husband Mike and her Mom, Shirley. They usually run around like crazy during the shows. So getting to speak to her so much was a miracle and a blessing on my end!! Fantastic people they all are!! Also, I was thrilled to see Pat and her husband from pjBeads!!! They are fantastic people too and she even gave me a few really really cool beads. She is a fab lamp worker and her prices are really good! You should check out her sets! To die for ! (her link is under Lampwork Artists in my right hand column of links). Torchsongs (also in the links column) is going to be giving a fused glass class soon too at one of the shows!! I think I have talked Dave into taking it!!

I got the grid from Bead Biz this weekend, too late to set up, but watch out next time!! My table is going to look COMPLETELY different next show! We have alot of work to do, but the change will be amazing!!!! (about time hehe)

I held 2 classes this weekend out of 4. I would have had 3 classes, but I had a ‘no show’. On Saturday, I had my Ice Bracelet Class and had 4 students: Fatima, Lori, Glenda and Nancy!! On Sunday, I taught the Cocoon earrings to Liz!! HI everyone! You were all great students and I am so happy you all were able to get a finished, or nearly finished piece to take home!! You all did a fantastic job!! I hope to have you all again in the future as well. I neglected to get a pic of Liz’s earring, but I did get pics of the bracelets(see below)

The next show is in Maine!! YAY!!! No multiple tanks of gas or hotel rooms for us this time!! WOOHOO!! Although I do enjoy sleeping out, it is nice to save the money and be home!

New Faces

Good morning everyone! I made some new faces yesterday. I am going to go package them in a moment, but thought I would share before they get put in their bags. I enjoy making these and I tend to sell them as well, which is way cool. They aren’t all the fancy polymer canes or anything, just cool little cabs for fun. Dave took the camera yesterday right AFTER I made my post about taking some pics LOL So I will photograph the earrings here in a little bit, that I made in the car the other day. This weekend I am buying from Bead Biz a 2 part 6′ black grid section for my kits display. I am pretty darn excited about that!!! I will have all kinds of room to hang them up and this is awesome!! Especially where I am ‘expanding’ hehe I really like ‘nontraditional’ displays, as you can tell from my vendor tables, but this is the most efficient for me right now! woohoo! Anyway, here are my faces:

Dreams & To-Do’s

Last night I had a dream that I received all the packages (I am expecting in real life) and of course in dreams there are always more than in reality. In my dream there were huge snowbanks, I forgot they were outside and when I woke (in my dream), it had snowed and there was a gazillion packages all over the yard from the snow plow! Paper half torn off and everything LOL I wonder if this dream interpreted means I will get them today!

I was gone ALL day yesterday. Of course I took beading with me, what kind of beader do you think I am??!! LOL I will have a couple photos later today from yesterday’s efforts. I got home and was excited to see my emails and all the networking stuff I do. I opened my email and there was an inquiry to custom horsehair work. YAY!!! So I am waiting to hear back about that! I also had an email from Mona. I am being interviewed for an online radio show. It will be on Mother’s Day at 4PM (EST). I will post the link as the day approaches. If any of you ‘call in’ to talk to me and I Know you…you better not get me laughing. I probably wouldn’t stop. I love this idea and there will be a video feed of my work during the interview as well, which will be online permanently hehe The only thing I don’t really care for about this is that I don’t like my voice on things like this. I tend to have a tad deep voice and I always sound like a monotone drone LOL (NO comments back on here ’bout that!! You all know who you are!!)

To-Do’s

Next 2 days:

Make 2 tutorials, print everything, assemble kits like crazy, make a batch of polymer faces, bead as much as possible, fix up some of my displays, gather everything and set it by the door to go.

Post show:

Take a pile of photos of my work for Mona’s online interview with me, spend a few days on horsehair work for my website, assemble more kits, make a display for Robynne and mail it, make sure I have what I need made for a model for the classes at the next show (which happens to be here in Maine WOOHOO!), work on and hopefully finish my mask, batch of quill earrings (desperately), bead as much as possible!

That’s all I have SO FAR!! I will post some pics later today!

I would really like to make this the very best seed bead only forum there is. I have a daily ‘Morning Java’, where I start the day at the computer with my coffee and let you all know the very latest and I always include a daily thought and an inspirational link to someone else’s blog, and sometimes they have some incredible graphs or tutorials. I just started, as of today, a word of the day. I used to read the dictionary when I was little, yeah I can be a total geek LOL

If you have any ideas or things you would love to see in there let me know, either comment here or in the forum where it says ‘Forum Suggestions’.  The forum is free at the moment, but if it actually got too big, I would pay for a bigger membership [donations definitely accepted ]. There is actually a ‘Community Chest’ on the bottom of the page for donations to that forum.

Summer Is On Its Way

You know we planted a garden a week ago tomorrow and already have radishes coming up..actually about an inch now!! Then I told my Mom and she said we planted a month too early hehehe Hey if we are lucky we could get 2 plantings Anyway, I put the spiral down to work with these really cool sea shells I got a while back at Caravan Beads. Naturally it has to be a coraling fringe piece! I have it well under way and it is coming out pretty cute. I found some really cool seed beads with a watery blue lined with a sand color, same color as parts of the shells. I am loving it, a perfect piece to go with a bikini to the beach. Something fun. I should be able to finish tomorrow, but I have to run an errand in the morning. So..asap..have a great night everyone!
