Sisterhood of the Traveling Beads

To all of you still replying to this, this contest is closed..sorry.

As some of you know, I was the last winner of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Bead Box. I received it from Hannah Rosner: Good River Gallery.

Previous winners were:

2) Nancy Dale: NED Beads

1) Mikki Ferrugiaro: MFD Beadwork Originals

Originating from Heather Powers of Humblebeads and Art Bead Scene

“When you get the box, you take out what you want and then swap in with equal or greater value. Then, blog (I think a facebook note is fine, too) about it and give folks a chance to win it! Once its over, the whole box will end up with Heather so she can go ahead and have her turn before dividing the rest up into prizes.” Quoted from Hannah’s blog.

So you want to leave a comment on my blog with your name and email and I will chose a winner August 24th. You are responsible for shipping, so when you win, I will send you a PayPal invoice for 10.95, which is a medium sized priority mail box.

Here is what is in the box now, it is bulked together, but you get the gist:

  1. Awesome additions, Chris, and I am so glad that someone wants my lovely 14s and 15s!!!! No – don’t enter me – I just wanted to let you know I read your post and am trying to find a way to follow your bog!!!!

    • Thanks Nancy! I about had a heart attack when I saw the bitty beads! Thanks for including them..in love! The tinier the better to me! LOL
There are many many ways to follow blogs, it totally depends on where you use them and then there is always subscribing to them too. If you need help, just let me know 😉

  2. I was originally inspired to create jewelry by getting a large collection from an ex beader. I got all her stuff, stones, tools, findings, etc. I love getting a hodge podge of delights. I’d love to win this!

  3. What a great idea! I would love a chance to look through the box but I would also like to start another one going around!

For those who like the 14’s and 15’s, I know of a vendor in South carolina who sells 24’s through 33’s, but be warned, the only way to bead with them is to use horsehair because they’re too tiny for needles.

  4. it sound like a lot of fun of taking new beads and give new ones too sooooooo cooool I can share my lovely bright beads with some one who will love them as much as I did lol

  5. it look like a lot of fun give and take, make new things with them and I have the chance to share my lovely bright friend 🙂

  6. I want the BOX!!!!! I want the boxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx……..gib ME da BOX!!!!!!!!
You know I’ll put some GOOD chit in the BOX!!!!!!! I own a small but big hearted bead shoppe!
Gib, gib, gib me DA BOX!

  7. Thye NVBS (www.nvabeads.org) does something similar every year. We have an annual bead auction and last year we had two bead tins – filled with donated beads from vendors and members. We auction it off in May, then the winner has to seed it for the next auction, and once again vendors and members add goodies.

  8. Ooooh, a traveling box of shiny, little round (square, triangular, etc.) bits of goodness. Please toss my name in the hat!
